i heart the arctic

I wish I had known sooner about Jacqueline Kari Bos’s I Heart the Arctic book when it first came out. It is a fully illustrated mini book inspired by arctic cultures, Inuit myth and the Aurora Borealis.

I Heart the Arctic was inspired after a year-long series Jacqueline worked on. The book itself seems very precious. It’s self published, made from a variety of different paper stocks, and has a hand-sewn spine. Her first run was of 50 books, but they quickly sold out and she ran a second edition of 150 books!

If you’re looking your arctic accessories, look no further than to buy some of the hand-sewn hearts to go a long with the book!

  1. I have a copy of i heart the arctic! it’s just as wonderful in real life.

  2. it took all my will power not to buy it as I was writing the entry. I might go back and do it — there was one copy in stock!
