Tom Edwards is an illustrator/graphic designer living in Brighton. While his portfolio is all-around impressive, his drawings/collages are what I have really spent some time with.

Tom’s drawing style is somewhat naive, but that is not meant to be an insult. His work is charming, engaging, and very interesting in its simplicity. I have included images of sketches and simpler drawings, but he also has collages that combine both his drawing sensibilities with color and shape design. Photographic images that are used in his collage are nicely paired with his sanguine hand.

There are a number of different projects featured on Tom’s website, but one I particularly enjoy is If Drawings Were Photographs. It is a collaboration between himself and Rob Matthews — Photographs are styled around Tom’s original drawings. Usually, it’s the other way around, and a very welcome change.
