lala ladcani
Lala Ladcani is an Argentinean-based artist. Thanks to Google Translate (!) I was able to view her site and understand a bit more of the kind of projects she’s invovled in. She has a wide-ranging portfolio that not only includes illustrations, but community projects, drawing, and graphic design.
Lala is well rounded; She works on the computer as well as creates things that are handmade. Her work, overall, is simple and clean as well as upbeat. I especially like the children’s workshop she had, which resulted in interestingly-assembled faces that adorned both the walls and floor (the two top images). The children helped to create the individual pieces, and were arranged by Lala. All of the pieces look to be from simple house hold materials, like plastic containers and boxes. When looking at the piece as a whole, you don’t see these objects, but you do see them transformed into something fresh.
