Patrick Costello is an artist and gar­dener liv­ing in Char­lottesville, VA. His work is per­me­ated with the earth. It is in the motifs he uses, which are reman­is­cent of rolling hills, gen­tle waves, and the night sky. It is also in his char­ac­ters — they seem to have their hands in the earth, or some­how be con­nected with the nat­ural world.
