On Twit­ter, I shared a pic­ture of the kit­ten I got last week, Pauline. Hav­ing not had a cat for 7+ years, it’s been a really inter­est­ing (and some­times frus­trat­ing) expe­ri­ence to have a pet again. I had to take her to the vet on Wednes­day, have her get shots, spayed… the works. Need­less to say, she was happy to come home this morning.

So what is more appro­pri­ate, then, than to fea­ture the Celes­tial Cats by Zip­pora Lux, aka Boya Latumahina? The graphic designer not only has an impres­sive web­site and work to boot, but has a self-initiated series of cats made of celes­tial bod­ies. The stun­ning pho­tographs that make up the cats are pho­tographs by the Hub­ble Tellescope.

Cats and the cos­mos are a deadly com­bi­na­tion of cute and awe-inspiring.
