I’m back! Thanks so much to all of my guest blog­gers who filled in for me last week. My vaca­tion was won­der­ful and relax­ing and full of sun. You can see some on my Insta­gram if you’re curious!

So, it’s back to busi­ness. When I was at SPX last fall, I bought a print from Celine Loup, Snake Aware­ness Day:

And I love it! Celine writes that her aes­thet­ics are informed by vin­tage lifestyle pho­tog­ra­phy, Swedish elec­tron­ic music, and French com­ic books. These influ­ences cre­ate work that is very nar­ra­tive, and often intri­cate­ly lay­ered in line, tex­ture, and mean­ing. I most enjoy Celine’s illus­tra­tions when they are very line-heavy, like the first two illus­tra­tions below.
