Charlotte Mei ceramics

Check out Char­lotte Mei’s expres­sive ceram­ics. They include plates, art objects, and jew­el­ry, with spe­cial atten­tion giv­en to sur­face design. I think it’s what draws me in about her work. Each piece has a very painter­ly feel to it, and she’s not shy about using a brush and her marks feel very ges­tur­al. Adding to this her con­struc­tion tech­niques, favor­ing a tex­tured sur­face over a smooth one.
