Every Thursday I bring you something from eyra, my online illustration gallery. eyra is a virtual space that shows, writes about, and sells illustration. I hope that by next Thursday I will have some exciting news for you!

Rand Renfrow is an artist I’ve admired for years. I have a couple of his prints framed in my apartment, and I was super excited when he was able to be a part of the newest exhibition, Long Form.

Absurdity is present in Rand’s work, as is the extreme stylization of everyday objects, as well as ones that exist only in his world. That’s what is great about Rand’s drawings and illustrations — he’s done an excellent job of cultivating a world, selecting objects and inhabitants that make sense within its scope. No matter what type of assignment, it always feels authentic to him.

Here’s some more work by Rand, via his website.
