Also prevalent in her work is a sense of whimsy (in the best sense of the word) and imaginary lands. I love her sense of color and the characterization she’s given to her worlds. They are interesting, not only in the proportion of the objects in her drawings, but also due to the materials she chooses to work with. There is a nice push and pull of collage and plain ole’ drawing’.
