Japanese designer Shigeo Fukuda was fond of Swiss graphic design, which is evident if you look at the style of his posters; they are minimal with clean lines. In addition to this influence, there is also a M. C. Escher-esque feel to his work, especially as you see the hands holding the pencils in the top image.
