My entire adult life has been spent as a renter. With places I’ve been in longer than a couple of years, I’ve often painted—but painting back when you move is such a pain. As I try to think of new and engaging ways to photograph my Cat Collars, the idea of removable wallpaper came to mind. Nowadays there are so many amazing designs offer a great way to customize your space no matter how long you are there.
Removable wallpaper basically acts like a giant sticker for your wall. Many are easy to apply—or reapply if you make a mistake—and they won’t leave residue on your walls if peeled off years later. I like the bold designs that work best as an accent wall. (You could put them on every wall of a room, though. I’ve seen that too, and it’s amazing if not dizzying.)
