It’s the final stop on my unofficial “Instagram tour” that highlights some of my favorite feeds worth your follow. So far, I’ve highlighted paper artists, illustrators, embroidery artists, and sketchbooks that are inspire me—and others—with their incredible artistry. Last but not least, I’m chronicling some of the best ceramic artists on Instagram.
Ceramics have often eluded me. Growing up, I was never great at throwing on the pottery wheel and thinking in the 3D doesn’t come naturally to me. Perhaps that’s where my fascination with the medium lies—I’m often in awe at what these creative folks produce. Illustration lends itself especially well to clay; some of my favorites combine its narrative qualities with practicality (like ceramic homewares) to create one-of-a-kind homewares.
