Hey! If you follow me on Instagram or Tumblr, you might have noticed I’ve been posting pictures of embroidered handkerchiefs by different image makers. If you did, then you had a sneak peak of my Sampler project. If not, then you are in luck. It launches TODAY. RIGHT NOW.
Sampler is my love letter to contemporary embroidery and vintage objects. I selected 5 lovely people that work in embroidery, and picked out 5 vintage handkerchiefs for them. I mailed them each a hankie, and they were free to adorn it however they wish. The finished pieces were mailed back to me and voila! You have Sampler. The embroiderers include: Sarajo Frieden, Lorena Marañón, Perrin, Amy Blackwell, and Laura McKellar.
